Subjective Reality (Part One)

Hey guys. This entry is going to be very different from my normal “success”, “make money”, “internet marketing”, “network marketing”, type of entry.

I had a very strange experience recently that I’ve only shared with a few people. I might share it here as well.

But, let me ask you a question: Do you know what the concept of Subjective Reality is?

The basic idea is this:

Objective Reality means that the world exists independently of you. (In other words, this is the model that’s accepted by the vast majority of people on the planet. They believe that the world is a real place that they live in and that — if they ceased to exist — the world as it is would continue to exist.)

Subjective Reality says that the entire world, all the people in it, all the politics, the wars, the sickness, the health, the joy, the happiness, the wealth, the abundance, etc……is all like an ultra-realistic 3D movie that YOU have created for yourself. Some say that you created this experience as a “game”. Some say it’s a life-lesson that you need to learn before you move on to another reality. Opinions vary.

But the point is that — subjective reality (SR) — means that none of this is actually “real” in the literal sense of the word. You’re creating it yourself.

The whole thing came about due to some discoveries in quantum physics and other science that seems to point to the idea that reality is changed by the mere act of observing it. Pretty interesting conversations.

Anyway, the bottom line is this: most of us are familiar with the concept that “you create your own reality” or “you create your own life”. In the case of SR, it’s a bit more literal.

They liken it to something like the movie “The Matrix”. Where everything you see in the world is actually made up by you. Or maybe like a holodeck on Star Trek. You’re walking around in the world….but it’s not actually real.

I’m not sure that I buy into that way of thinking. But, at the same time, I’ve also seen things in my life that I definitely didn’t understand and which seemed to defy the “laws of nature”.

What do you think about this concept? Comment or share your thoughts below. I’m interested!

So, Where Do You Think That Comes From?

Think about this:

If you believe that you are creating your own life….then how can you, in the next breath, complain about the challenges you’re facing?

Think about it.

I was talking to Bob the other day about some personal development ideas. He agreed with me that, “Yes, I’m creating my own life. By my thoughts and my beliefs, I create and attract certain experiences into my life. Yes! It’s powerful stuff and I’ve believed this for years!”

Then, the next day, I was asking Bob why he felt he wasn’t as successful in his business as he thought he should be. His answer? “Damn leads. I’m still trying to figure out how to generate good-quality leads. And that’s why I haven’t been as successful as I need to be.”

See the problem?

On the one hand, Bob SAYS he believes he’s creating his own life.
But in the next conversation, he thinks that his life is happening TO him and that it’s out of his control.

Here’s the scoop:

All games have an element of resistance. A game wouldn’t be any fun if you didn’t have an obstacle or opponent to overcome. The World Cup wouldn’t be the most-watched sports event in the world if someone could kick the ball into the net without someone trying to stop him.

So, understand that “resistance” is just part of the game.

So, when you bump into resistance, here are two suggestions I have for you:

First, congratulate yourself for being a powerful creator! “Wow, look at this resistance I’ve created. Wow, I’m quite an amazing creator to have created this kind of opponent in this game. I’m really good at this!”

Secondly, change the game. Change the rules. Change the resistance. Understand that YOU are the person who’s creating it all…..and that you can create something different by how you choose to think, believe and move in that game.

It’s your game. Change it anytime you want.

You can do it.

Here’s How I Went From Failure To Success

Let me set the scene for you.

I was broke.  Not just “out of money” but “broke” in the sense that I didn’t have any heat in our house….my car was about to be repossessed…..I had deputy sheriff’s leaving debt collector notices on my door….and I had nothing going on that made me think that next week would be any different.

And I ran across some teachings that changed my perspective.

They pissed me off because it said that I was creating my own life by the way I chose to think.
They excited me because they suggested that success was actually simpler than failure….but that I’d been too busy running in place to see that.
They intrigued me because they said that my life was a result of what I focused on…..and that the problem wasn’t “out there”.  That — if I would take responsibility for what was “in here” — then the “out there” stuff would change.

Did I believe it?

Probably not entirely.  At least not right away.  But my life wasn’t working and I was willing to consider some ideas that I hadn’t seen before.  (God knows what I’d been doing wasn’t working.)

And a strange thing happened:  when I started applying some of these principles…..things started happening.  Money started flowing.  People were more agreeable to what I was marketing.

I started getting more done with less effort.
I made more sales with fewer leads.

You’ve heard of a “downward spiral of failure”?  I was in an upward spiral!  And believe me, the ride is just as fast but a lot more fun when the spiral is going UP!

Long story short….I’ve proven these principles in my own life.  But I had to find them for myself.  Sometimes they were in books written long ago.  Or conversations with people who were living the lifestyle I wanted to live.  In one case, one of the most important principles came to me in the form of an old vinyl record that had been recorded many years ago.

It wasn’t until several years later that I decided to make a career out of teaching these principles to others.  And, fortunately, you can find many of these principles in one place today.

The Elevate Home Study Course is a 72-day home study program that encapsulates years and decades of proven success technologies and presents them to you in an easy-to-use format.  As you begin to use your Elevate course each day, you really will begin to see the world differently.  It will become obvious to you how successful people became that way……and why many people actually CHOOSE to struggle (even though they don’t always realize it at the time.)

And as you go through the course, you’ll begin to use these principles in your own life…..and you’ll start to experience what I did.

More flow.
Less struggle.
You’ll begin to realize that you really DO create and attract certain situations and circumstances in your life.  And you’ll have the ability to change them.  Or choose something different.

You’re really quite powerful.  You just may not know it yet.

And that’s what Elevate is about.

How To Fail Fast In Network Marketing

The title says it all.

Here are the steps.

Do them in any order.

Pick and choose the ones that appeal to you the most. Do them
consistently.

And – congratulations! – you can fail in MLM faster than you believe
possible!

1. Focus more on building a blog than on talking to prospects. Blogs are
fashionable. You’re nobody unless you have one. Besides, talking to
prospects opens you up to potential rejection. You’re better off not
talking to prospects until you’ve got your “brand” in place.

2. Spend your time writing lots of articles. These will not actually make
you any money. But they take up time and they allow you an outlet for
creative writing. Make sure to do this BEFORE you do any “income-producing
activity” each day. That way, when you’re exhausted from writing and submitting
11 new articles to hundreds of article sites today…..you can feel like you worked
your business. Even though you actually didn’t show your business to anyone.

3. Join a bunch of affiliate programs and focus on getting your leads to buy
stuff from them. They won’t actually join your “primary” business. But you can
feel good about picking up a check every once in awhile from your affiliate
business. Even though your MLM business is at a stand-still.

4. The Internet is the holy grail. Spend all your time mastering the Internet.

5. Be quick to label tried and true methods as “archaic”, “old-school” or
“old fashioned”. Sure….there are lots of people making tons of money in
network marketing with those methods but….well…..it’s not sophisticated
enough for you.

6. If you have a choice of putting a few guests on a business presentation
call…..or recording a new video for your YouTube channel…..don’t even think
about it. Recording the video is building your brand. You can show your business
to those pesky prospects anytime. Focus on your brand.

7. Avoid realizing that the top earners in your company are focused on
actual income-producing activities. Keep yourself occupied with things that
demand a high level of activity….but a low level of income. This is essential
if you expect to fail as fast as possible.

8. Continue to make the mistake of thinking that successful information
marketers are necessarily successful network marketers. When you talk about
how some MLM guru is making millions of dollars per year, make sure to avoid
the small fact that they’re not actually doing it in MLM. As long as you continue
to ignore the difference between info-marketing and actual network marketing,
you can continue to follow their advice without noticing that only one of you
is making any serious money.

9. It’s absolutely mandatory that you spend your time getting more Twitter
followers. That’s crucial to your success. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

10. For the love of God, do NOT commit to actually making sure that
you’re putting prospects in front of a presentation daily….and then following
up with them.

After all….now that you’ve been “in the biz” for a few months,
have that big Twitter following, all those articles are online and you’ve
built your “brand”……shouldn’t you start working on your new home study
course teaching other people how to make money from home?

There you have it folks. Ten essential ways to fail fast in network marketing.

Knock yourself out.

Tongue firmly in cheek,
Tony Rush
