So, Where Do You Think That Comes From?

Think about this:

If you believe that you are creating your own life….then how can you, in the next breath, complain about the challenges you’re facing?

Think about it.

I was talking to Bob the other day about some personal development ideas. He agreed with me that, “Yes, I’m creating my own life. By my thoughts and my beliefs, I create and attract certain experiences into my life. Yes! It’s powerful stuff and I’ve believed this for years!”

Then, the next day, I was asking Bob why he felt he wasn’t as successful in his business as he thought he should be. His answer? “Damn leads. I’m still trying to figure out how to generate good-quality leads. And that’s why I haven’t been as successful as I need to be.”

See the problem?

On the one hand, Bob SAYS he believes he’s creating his own life.
But in the next conversation, he thinks that his life is happening TO him and that it’s out of his control.

Here’s the scoop:

All games have an element of resistance. A game wouldn’t be any fun if you didn’t have an obstacle or opponent to overcome. The World Cup wouldn’t be the most-watched sports event in the world if someone could kick the ball into the net without someone trying to stop him.

So, understand that “resistance” is just part of the game.

So, when you bump into resistance, here are two suggestions I have for you:

First, congratulate yourself for being a powerful creator! “Wow, look at this resistance I’ve created. Wow, I’m quite an amazing creator to have created this kind of opponent in this game. I’m really good at this!”

Secondly, change the game. Change the rules. Change the resistance. Understand that YOU are the person who’s creating it all…..and that you can create something different by how you choose to think, believe and move in that game.

It’s your game. Change it anytime you want.

You can do it.
