Ten Quick Tips for Network Marketers
1. The purpose of an autoresponder message is to get them to click a link. Not to get them to read a letter.
2. The purpose of your primary website is to sort the suspects from the prospects and invite the prospects to fill out a form requesting information. It is not to explain your business to them, or tell them about the wonders of the product.
3. When calling a prospect for the first time, the purpose of the conversation is to find out if they are someone you want to work with and — if so — to give them the next step. The phone call is not for giving them a presentation. Nor to explain your business.
4. Leverage is not just about pay plans….it’s about time management. Never do a presentation for one person when you can just easily do it for 6 people. One-on-one presentations are probably the biggest waste of time in the industry. (Note: I didn’t say they didn’t work….I said they were a waste of time.)
5. Even better, put all your prospects on a conference call hosted by someone else and you can let someone else work your business for you while you’re enjoying your life. If I had to choose only one tool for my business, it would be a powerful conference call.
6. There’s never any reason for a business presentation call to last more than 30 minutes. And, if the call doesn’t include live testimonials and a Q&A session for prospects, there’s no need for it to be longer than 20 minutes. If it takes longer than that, your presentation is too complicated or you just like to hear yourself talk.
7. There’s no need for an associate training call to last more than 45 minutes and that includes live Q&A. If your company is having multiple hour-long training calls every week, they need to simplify their system.
8. If you’re not going to collect a decision after the presentation, there was no point in going through the whole process. After they get any questions answered, ask them something simple like, “What do you want to do from here?” or “Do you see a future for yourself with this company?” There’s no heavy psychology. It’s just authentic communication.
9. Trying to convince prospects to join or buy is for amateurs. Don’t do it. Ever.
10. Spend time with people who are getting the results you want. Don’t waste your time “talking shop” with people who
aren’t successful. Attitudes (and mindsets) are contagious. Catch something worth having.
To your success!
